Maya's Macaroni and Cheese Herb Bowl



  • Pasta (any kind)
  • Milk
  • Butter
  • Flour
  • Grated Cheese (any melting cheese)
  • Herbs (any kind)


  1. Boil water

  2. Add pasta and cook until tender

  3. Drain pasta and set aside

  4. To a dry saucepan, add 1tbsp of butter

  5. Melt butter over low heat

  6. Add 1 tbsp of flour and stir until it forms a roux (smooth paste)

  7. Add 1/4 cup milk to roux, stirring constantly until roux is dissolved and sauce is creamy

  8. Add grated cheese and stir until melted and smooth. If sauce gets too thick, add milk. If too thin, cook and stir until thickened

  9. Stir in the cooked pasta

  10. Dish into bowls and sprinkle with finely chopped herbs
